There is nothing like walking into the private home of somebody who wants to give a special party, getting to know them, getting a chance to understand they way they think and the way they want to entertain, then the process of making that party happen with all the flair and the style that the host or hostess demand.
I love nothing more then an intimate group of friends to cook for, to make an evening rich with flavor, rich with style. There is that word style again.
Style is key. Style is paramount. Style should seem effortless.
I was truly inspired by the dinner parties that my parents threw when I was a kid growing up in San Francisco. They were always fun, always exciting and always stylish.
