in february of
1981, a small boy about 10 years old walked into my flower store on
bleecker street in new york with $25.00 and wanted to buy flowers
for his “mommy” I helped him pick out the flowers, wrapped them in
clear cellophane, tied them with silk ribbons and sent him on his
way. 5 minutes later, his “mommy” called, who happened to be the
fashionista of new york magazine and exclaimed…”those are the most
beautiful flowers I have ever seen” she then went on to ask me to be
a stylist on her next photo shoot which was the following week .
that lead to a long relations ship with food, fashion, and flowers
with new York magazine, house beautiful, brides, even vogue…! It
also led to years working on the barbara walters specials, the tony
awards, and a few movies along the way.
i have been
able to work with horst, scavullo, the new york times, architectural
digest, este lauder, house and garden, well as many books including
my own and Martha stewart’s.
my latest movie…….a disney film called the g force will be out soon
and feature more a plethora of sweets and deserts!
